Dr. Jon Loffi

Dr. Jon Loffi is an Associate Professor of Aviation and Space at Oklahoma State University in the Aviation and Space program in the College of Education, Health, and Aviation. Dr. Loffi is the faculty advisor to the Flying Aggies student organization and Lead Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the Stillwater main campus. His research agenda is focused on homeland defense and security and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) where he works in collaboration with OSU College of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (MAE). He serves on two counter sUAS committees. One is with the MAE team at OSU and involves classified research for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the other committee is the Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council (CIPAC). Dr. Loffi is a published author having approximately 20 peer-reviewed articles in aviation and emergency management journals. He has also co-authored a chapter in a book on Global Supply Chain Security. He has 40-years of service in law enforcement at the local and state levels and served as a Task Force Officer (TFO) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the attacks of 9/11.
