Richard G. Cobb

Richard G. Cobb is a Professor of Aerospace in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), where he teaches courses on classical, robust, and optimal control theory, trajectory optimization, and satellite design.  His research focuses on dynamics and control of aircraft, spacecraft, and optical systems.  Recent work includes developing optimal trajectory plans for Global Strike missions, and optimal aircraft air and ground collision avoidance algorithms for manned and unmanned systems.  He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and can be contacted via e-mail at richard.cobb@afit.edu.
